Building Blocks Fellowship

Fellowship

This fellowship is open to all current and former AmeriCorps service members serving in Stockton or San Joaquin County, as well as Stockton and San Joaquin County community members ages 18–26. It is intended to support service members, alumni, and emerging leaders seeking to understand the various functions of government that impact the systemic conditions and current realities of our community. Awareness is the first step to contextualizing our experiences.

This fellowship will bring people together to learn, build context, and gain clarity on our local government. It’s a great fit for those interested in learning and absorbing context.

Participants who complete the fellowship will have the opportunity to earn a $500 stipend.

Deadline to Apply: Monday, November 2, 2026.
* Sessions will begin in November and run through June 2027.

Youth Leadership Council - Cohort 3

Leadership

Cohort 3 will be a five-month Youth Council term focused on promoting mental wellness and highlighting its importance within our community, especially among youth. Throughout these five months, the cohort will work to create awareness around mental health, encourage open and supportive conversations, and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental wellness. By bringing youth together and connecting them with resources, support, and positive ways to prioritize their well-being, Cohort 3 hopes to create a stronger, more understanding, and supportive community for all.

Youth Leadership Cohort 3 will run from February through July 2027, with one meeting per month.

Deadline to Apply: February 8, 2027

Stockton is best led by the people who have already given back to it. Duration: 7 months. Sessions: 6 total, in person. (December 2026 to June 2027)

Who Should Apply:

• Currently serving with AmeriCorps or SSC, currently or previously enrolled in a cohort-based program, or an AmeriCorps/SSC alumni
