LEVERAGING THE POWER OF PEOPLE THROUGH SERVICE

LEVERAGING THE POWER OF PEOPLE THROUGH SERVICE

A 6-YEAR, PLACE-BASED INVESTMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY

OUR MISSION

Stockton Service Corps is a place-based initiative dedicated to working with community partners to deliver high impact services to Stockton, and create a pathway for community leadership through service.

OUR VISION

SSC’s vision is to work collaboratively with our host organizations and community partners, connecting them to resources, and facilitating partnerships in order to create a community of collective impact.

OUR IMPACT

We began in October 2019 with a focus on cradle-to-career outcomes for students. In 2020, Stockton was named as 1 of 5 cities to pilot a first-of-its-kind Climate Action service model. Moving into 2021, the number of fellows will grow to nearly 140, continuing to add capacity to community organizations while building career pathways for graduating fellows.

SERVING STOCKTON'S CRITICAL NEEDS

CRADLE TO CAREER

We are working to ensure Stockton’s next generation is prepared from cradle to career. Our three focus areas include Early Childhood Education, K-12 Success, and Post-Secondary Success and Completion.

CLIMATE ACTION

In California, climate change is a threat to systems and people across the state. Climate change is an existential crisis. Each of us has a role to play. We are working with California Climate Action Corps to mobilize a cohort of fellows who will take meaningful action in Stockton.
